Nabachwa Ssensalo
I graduated from Occidental College on scholarship with a B.A. in Economics. However, there are two other things I want you to know about me. The first is I grew up at the Lula Washington Dance Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. My mother, father, sister and brother have donated countless hours there and supported my love of dance. The people I’ve met through the organization, Ralph Glenmore, Ron E. Brown, Stefan Wenta and of course the Washington's have crafted me into the artist I am today. The second is I love my job. Ever since I saw DCDC in 1997 I knew I wanted to dance in this company. The people I work with are talented, energetic, and passionate. I feel so blessed to be here. On top of all that, I get to work and tour with my husband! As I go into my ninth season I can only hope that there are many more years at DCDC in my future.
