G. D. Harris
(Rehearsal Coach & Company Manager) I started my dance studies in St. Albans Queens, New York at the Gloria Jackson Dance Studios and also went to the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Arts and Performing Arts; originally the “Fame” school. While in High School I trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center on scholarship. After graduating cum laude with a B.F.A. in Dance from Ohio State University I began my 18-year stint with DCDC. I received many honors while here at DCDC. Such as the first annual “Josie Award” for best male performer 1996 and the Montgomery County Individual Artist Fellowship 1998 & 2002. I am fortunate to teach dance classes for Jeraldyne's School of the Dance and DCDC2. I was promoted to rehearsal coach in 2000 and most recently appointed Company Manager.
